Description

The Green Sunfish is a species of freshwater fish, common among anglers and hobbyists as a panfish and aquarium fish.

They are usually caught by accident, however can be caught fairly easily if desired. The Green Sunfish is considered an invasive species by the states of Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia and New Jersey.

The typical length ranges from about 3-7in and usually weighs
less than 1lb. The Green Sunfish has reached a maximum recorded length of about 12in (30cm), with a maximum recorded weight of 2.2lb (960g).
