Description

The Walleye, also known as the Yellow Perch or Yellow Pickerel, is a freshwater fish native to Canada and most of North America.

The fish is called Walleye due to its opaque, reflective eyes which allow it to see in dark conditions.

Walleyes grow to around 31in (80cm) in length, and weigh up to about 20lb (9kg). The maximum recorded size for the fish is 42in (107cm) in length and 29lb (13kg) in weight.

The Walleye preferes Leeches as bait. If you use Leeches you have the best chance of cathing a Walleye.
