The Cenachero, a fish vendor carrying hemp baskets, is a popular symbol of Málaga, alongside the Biznaguero and the Boquerón. The Cenachero would have sold the day’s catch from the bay, a vital part of the area’s cuisine and culture. The Cenachero no longer operates in the current day, however has been immortalized in several statues in parks around the town.
