Júas are large rag dolls stuffed with sawdust that represent a facet of life that must be purified and that you do not want to return. On the night of San Juan, an event of commemorating the birth of John the Baptist and the advent of Christianity, the Júas are burned symbolically, accompanied with sardine skewers, drinking and music.
