About
The Washington Quarter was first struck in 1932, designed by sculptor John Flanagan, to celebrate the bicentennial of the birth of George Washington. There have been many different designs over the years, although this one in particular features a commemorative mural on the reverse to honor Golden Ridge Reserve.
