Description
Koi are descendants of the common carp, introduced to Japan for use in trade and as a foodstuff. Today, the Japanese term for a wild carp is Magoi. The three naturally occurring color mutations of the wild carp are Tetsu (Iron Gray), Doro (Mud Brown), and Asagi (Light Blue).
