Description
Koi are descendants of the common carp, introduced to Japan for use in trade and as a foodstuff. Today, the Japanese term for a wild carp is Magoi. The three naturally occurring color mutations of the wild carp are Tetsu (Iron Gray), Doro (Mud Brown), and Asagi (Light Blue).

Magoi can be found in Shallow Pond, Deep Pond, Lake Shore, Shallow Lake, Deep Lake, Upriver, Middle River, and River Mouth.

Dough, Bread, Pearl Barley, Cheese, Eggs, Corn, Pellets – Regular, Redworm, Liver, can be used to lure and catch Magoi in COTW the Angler.
Traits
The Magoi has the following traits:
- Bottom Lurker:
Prefers swimming closer to the bottom.
- Hard Fighter:
Tries its best to get off the hook.
- Last Stand:
When close to getting caught it fights with renewed vigor.

The Magoi preferes Dough as bait. If you use Dough you have the best chance of cathing a Magoi.

The best time for catching a Magoi is during Daytime and Nighttime.
