Description

The White Spotted Char is an East Asian trout, known as Iwana in Japan. The fish can be both landlocked and ocean-run, with the landlocked form typically growing up to 14in (35cm), preferring low-temperature streams. The seagoing fish typically grows to 28in (70cm) long. The White Spotted Char is a carnivore, feeding on insects and plankton.
