The Eurasian Lynx is a medium-sized wild cat. It is the largest of the four lynx species, ranging in body length from 30-42 in (76-106 cm) in males; 29–39 in (73–99 cm) in females. Although they may hunt during the day (particularly when food is scarce), the Eurasian Lynx is mainly nocturnal or crepuscular (active during dawn and dusk). They spend the day sleeping in dense vegetation.
