Description
European Grayling are a species of freshwater Salmon that are widespread throughout all of Europe, inhabiting large fast flowing rivers with clean cold water. They have elongated bodies with oblong heads, which are covered in small greenish gray scales. Grayling usually grow up to 21in (50cm) in length with an average weight of 1-2lb (0.5-1kg). These predatory fish feed mostly on crustaceans, molluscs, small fish and insects.
