Steam Deck Verification

With the 2 Year Anniversary Update, COTW: The Angler game is now fully verified on the Steam Deck. This allows you to play the game seamlessly wherever and whenever you like. Fishing on the go has never been easier!

2nd Anniversary Event

Summer is here, and some slippery visitors have snuck into the Golden Ridge Reserve! Head on down to the International BBQ Party event area on the island South-West of Diamond’s Peak Outpost to join in the fun! Catch some guest fish from other reserves, try the new BBQ mini-game, and stock up on some sweet summer themed gear and apparel in the summer shop!

During the anniversary event you can catch some fish which you would usually catch in the other reserves. These are guest fish here for the duration of the event only. You can catch these fish, even if you don’t have the DLC for the other reserves. The guest fish for this 2nd anniversary event are:

African Tigerfish

Common Carp (Aguas Claras)

Brown Trout (Trollsporet)

You can catch these with the typical setups you would catch them in their own reserves (look at the wiki page for each if you need help). All the guest fish can be caught in a single place, just off the dock on the small island where the event is happening.

Turning Reserve Specific Tokens into Summer Tokes

Once you catch a guest fish, you will receive a Reserve Specific Token. These are:

• Aguas Claras Catch Token (for catching any size of Common Carp)
• Izilo Zasendulo Catch Token (for catching any size of African Tigerfish)
• Trollsporet Catch Token (for catching any size of Brown Trout)

Once you have at least one of these tokens, go to the Barbeque Area of the event and interact with the reserve specific barbeque (It’s Time to Grill). Here you must play a mini-game to grill the tokens and obtain Summer Event Tokens (1 successfully grilled reserve specific token equals 1 summer event token).

Tip: Grill one token at a time – if you try to grill more than one at a time and you get it Raw or Burnt you will loose all the tokens you tried to grill, not just one.

Getting Summer Event Souvenirs

Once you have at least one Summer Event Token, head towards the souvenir table in the event area and exchange your tokens for unique souvenirs. Cost of these souvenirs ranges from 0 tokens to 5 tokens.

You can get the following souvenirs from this 2nd Anniversary event:

New Species: Crayfish and Carpsucker

Two new species have been added to Golden Ridge Reserve: the Signal Crayfish, the first-ever Crustacean in the game, and the River Carpsucker.

Ultimate Double Everything Event

For a limited time you’ll be able to earn double EVERYTHING (XP, Tokens) on all catches across all reserve. Make sure to add the event in your calendar so you don’t forget.

Double Everything Event Starts: Wednesday 4th September (00.00 PST/08.00 BST/ 09.00 CET)

Double Everything Event Ends: Sunday 8th of September (23.59 PST/Monday 9th September 07.59 BST/ 08.59 CET).
