Patch 2.0 Highlights

With the new reserve comes a new patch. Here are the highlights taken from the official announcement on Reddit.

Fish Variations

This feature came in the previous patch, however this got extended to the new Japan reserve! Every single catch you get on Golden Ridge Reserve or Kamuibetsu National Park will be completely unique. It’s actually unlikely for you to find any two fish that look the same. There are a few fish that have this feature on other reserves, but you’ll definitely see them if you catch a Golden Ridge or Japanese fish.

Feral Koi Fish Variation

Gameplay improvements

When playing on the PC, you can now press SPACE or ENTER to release a fish on the catch screen.

Other fixes and improvements

The following list of fixes and improvements have been noted by the Devs.

Audio

  • The strike sound can now be heard again.

Visuals

  • The fish variations on Golden Ridge Reserve have been polished a bit.
  • The fish have been SHAVED?! Issues with Motion Blur and Alti-Aliasing no longer make your fish appear fuzzy in the reward pose and handbook.
  • Fixed an issue where the water and terrain would disappear in some instances after releasing fish and opening the quick menu.

Stability

  • Fixed a crash that would happen in certain instances when using the quick menu.
  • Various other crash and stability fixes.

UI

  • Corrected some translation issues.

Latest Wiki Updates

After a big time off from the wiki there are a few things that have been added.

Rods listed in the wiki

All the rods from the game have been added to the wiki. You can find them on the Equipment menu.

Kamuibetsu National Park Japan Reserve

The new Japan Reserve has been added to the Wiki. At the moment no high resolution maps are available, but they will come shortly.

All fish species have been added, including their traits, preferred bait and hook sizes for each rank.

Hook Chart for Kamuibetsu Japan Reserve

The Hook Size Chart for the new Japan Reserve is now on the wiki, listing all their fish with required sizes for each rank.
