Blessed Santa Azucena was born in 1830 AD in Aguas Claras, Andalusia, as the forth child in a family of seven children. She was baptized in the following month.
Her mother and father both owned a tavern of sorts in the town center, which she began to work at, providing food and lodging with the community to those that needed it. Her real journey would begin however, on the night of a great storm.
