The Gray Wolf, or simply Wolf, is a large canine native to Eurasia and North America. As the largest of the Canid family, a wolf weighs about 79 lb (36 kg) on average and can grow to be 41-63 in (105-160 cm) in length, although exceptionally large males have been recorded up to 174 lb (79 kg). Wolves are especially social animals, with specialized cooperative game hunting abilities.
