About
The Mountain Cottontail is a small rabbit found in the mountainous regions of western United States. It typically has light brown fur, with a distinctive white-gray tail from which the species takes its name. The Cottontail can grow to be up to 15 in (39 cm) long, and 2 lb (1 kg) in weight, with the females almost 5% bigger than the males.
