The Pronghorn is a mammal native to western and central North America and often referred to as the American Antelope, due to its resemblance. Pronghorn can grow to be between 4-5 ft (1-2 m) in length and weigh between 75-143 lb (34-65 kg). The horns of a Pronghorn are permanent fixtures to its head, however their keratinous cover is shed annually. Both males and females grow horns, however the males’ are considerably larger.
