The Raccoon is a medium sized mammal native to North America, but has been introduced worldwide. Raccoons typically grow to be 16-28 in (40-70 cm) in length and between 11-57 lb (5-26 kg) in weight. Raccoons are highly adaptable, dexterous, intelligent, and can be found in many different habitats ranging from their original range of forests to mountainous and urban environments.
