The Mountain Goat is a mammal native to North America and lives in mountainous regions around western North America. Mountain goats can grow to be between 47-70 in (120-179 cm) in length and weight between 99-310 lb (45-140 kg). The coat of a mountain goat has two layers; an outer hollow layer, and an undercoat of dense wool. This coat helps them withstand temperatures as low as -51 F (-46 °C) and protects them from winds of up to 100 mph (160 km/h).
