The Puma, also known as the Cougar, Mountain Lion or Panther, is a large cat native to both North and South America and one of the most widespread terrestrial mammals in the western hemisphere. A Puma can grow to be between 4 ft 11 in-9 ft 0 in (2-3 m) in length and weigh between 64-220 lb (29-100 kg). A puma will eat any prey it can catch from insects to moose, although it prefers hunting deer, especially in North America.
